I frequently redo my clients’ closets. Especially when the cabinets have been designed without much thought to how that person will be using it. I actually quite like Ikea’s closet options, you can do a walk in closet for $1500-2000 depending on the size and set up and the doll it up by using different hardware, hanging a chandelier and pretty carpet. I’ve also added crown molding to top to make it seem built-in.
Love these glass-fronts on those Ikea PAX wardrobe systems. I much prefer having no doors so I can see where everything is. Great jewelry storage as well.
Genius solution for a closet: 2 shelving units with rods in between. This would be great in a large closet, and certainly cheaper than ordering the wardrobe system for it.
Home Depot and Ikea both sell wire closet systems that are inexpensive and offer so many customizable options.
Love this as well and so those slide out drawers are really convenient and fit a lot.
Can you believe this is Ikea? Jenny from Little Green Notebook (she is a total DIY goddess, btw) remade these PAX wardrobes by replacing the hardware, adding pretty crown moulding and painting the whole thing. Little more involved but looks fantastic. Read about the transformation here.
