Design direction, space planning, furniture layout and preliminary color and furniture combinations are presented to the client for review and revision.
After final approval, floor plans and design is finalized and presented in greater detail. Colors, finishes, fabrics, furniture is selected and cost estimates prepared. Sources vary from custom to ready made items. The resulting design is presented for final revision.
Upon proposal approval and pre-payment, the HDS team places orders, schedules trades, works with workrooms and creates custom orders.
Details and scope of work are determined from electrical and lighting plans to millwork specification, finish selections such as flooring, wallpaper and paint, lighting selection, plumbing location and fixture selection, and timelines decided. Bids are obtained and sub contractors retained, permits acquired and deposits issued.
Work commences, designer is often on site managing trades. Accessory sourcing, furniture delivery, final install.
